I chose to work in healthcare because it is rewarding to see how the work you do directly affects a patient at some of their most vulnerable moments. Working in the healthcare industry gives me a direct avenue to make a change that could impact generations to come.
Aarika has worked closely and extensively with physician practices on issues concerning compensation, alignment, and A/R improvement, and her background in finance and operations is valuable to health systems and medical groups as they contemplate partnership opportunities. She has considerable expertise in the areas of performance improvement, work flow design, and data collection and analytics, particularly as they concern physician compensation and revenue cycle solutions. Physicians who have worked with Aarika appreciate her ability to understand their individual goals and identify opportunities to align them with the overarching objectives of a hospital or health system.
Before joining ECG, Aarika was an Operations Associate with Privia Health, a multispecialty medical group with more than 110 participating practices. In this capacity, she led operational improvement initiatives that resulted in lower outstanding A/R, analyzed key performance indicators to assess individual practices’ financial position, and examined miscoding trends that identified significant missed payment opportunities. Before that, Aarika served as the Coordinator of Business Services for Baylor University Medical Center, where she organized and executed a self-pay process that coordinated patient accounts with charity and Medicaid eligibility.
