Abdullah’s background in electronic health record (EHR) implementation and optimization for a wide variety of government, military, and private hospital systems around the United States and Southeast Asia is helpful to organizations as they embark upon EHR initiatives. He understands the many regulatory, budgetary, and clinical challenges healthcare organizations face when selecting, implementing, and using an EHR system. Clients value his ability to manage key relationships among disparate stakeholders with often competing interests, including government officials, physicians, pharmacists, nursing staff, and chief executives of hospitals and medical groups. Furthermore, they appreciate his unique, international perspective on the delivery of healthcare and patient outcomes.
Before joining ECG, Abdullah worked as an Implementation Consultant at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions. During his tenure, he successfully implemented Sunrise Clinical Manager and built customized solutions at hospital systems in the United States and Singapore in order to improve patient outcomes and safety, enhance hospital efficiency and revenues, and prepare clients for compliance with CMS meaningful use guidelines. In Singapore, Abdullah managed the large-scale implementation of a custom pharmacy solution. His development and implementation efforts resulted in a lower rate of medication dispensing errors and a reduction of inventory waste.
