Amy’s clients appreciate her ability to work closely and communicate with multiple stakeholders throughout the healthcare continuum. She has extensive experience in strategic planning and large implementations for multi-facility health systems, and she has helped hospitals choose and implement EHRs and practice management (PM) systems that have improved performance and enhanced end-user satisfaction. As a member of ECG’s IT practice, she has helped lead Medical Associates Clinic, a 1,000-employee, multispecialty medical group in Iowa, through a complex EHR and PM system implementation. Given her technical knowledge of and experience with the Cerner Ambulatory system, Amy has helped position the group to achieve its near-term implementation goals and, ultimately, to be better prepared to meet its longer-term strategic objectives.
Amy has also assisted with multiple Epic Community Connect cost modeling projects, evaluating the program costs and determining pricing for the offering. Based on each organization’s goals and physician/hospital alignment strategy, Amy uses her analytical strengths and knowledge of the program to provide clients a clear understanding of their opportunities.
Prior to joining ECG, Amy served as a Solution Architect at Cerner Corporation. In this role, she managed numerous implementations of the Cerner EHR, working with and leading other technical resources in design, build, and work flow optimization activities. In addition to her ambulatory experience, Amy has managed Cerner FirstNet implementations in the emergency department setting. Amy understands the complexities and configuration needs of the software in order to improve work flows, and her clients welcome her in-depth expertise, particularly when working within demanding environments.
