Healthcare is deeply personal; our friends and families will rely on our healthcare system at many points in their lives. And that system in its current state has significant room for improvement. I come to work every day at ECG because I am passionate about challenging the status quo and implementing new payment and delivery models to improve the experience and the outcomes of care while reducing the costs.
Liz’s background in health reform policy and practice enables her to support organizations as they pursue novel care delivery and payment models that improve the health of their patient populations across the continuum of care. Her experience working for a successful Pioneer ACO combined with her background in state and federal health policy analysis gives Liz an informed perspective on the ever-evolving healthcare landscape.
Prior to joining ECG, Liz worked in the Office of Population Health at Atrius Health, a nonprofit multispecialty medical group practice in Eastern Massachusetts. There she contributed to Pioneer ACO operations, including management of the CMS compliance audit, transitions of care strategic planning, and care management program redesign. In her previous role as a Policy Analyst for The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation, much of Liz’s work focused on analyzing and accelerating state cost-containment efforts. Liz provided technical assistance to state-based healthcare organizations on issues pertaining to Affordable Care Act implementation as a Health Policy Analyst at Families USA in Washington, D.C.
