I’ve enjoyed working in healthcare, and especially in IT, because you get to witness those “Aha!” moments when a provider sees how technology can assist them in their care for patients. Healthcare technology is in such a unique place that offers not only these special moments that make you feel good about the work you are doing, but also the opportunity to make leaps in progress in a crucial industry.
With a strong background in EHR technology, Jason helps clients achieve their implementation and optimization goals across their enterprise. He has supported a number of multi-hospital organizations, including pediatric and academic entities, by working with and managing cross-functional teams within the clinical technology departments. Realizing that each implementation can uncover previously unknown deficiencies, Jason assists his clients in developing strategies and customizing reports to easily identify areas of opportunity during the process.
Prior to joining ECG, Jason was an Implementation Specialist at Epic Systems Corporation, where he oversaw the successful configuration of, training during, and implementation of 12 multiyear Epic EHR projects across eight different clients. During the implementations, he frequently directed several teams within the different departments, giving him broad exposure to hospital operations. In addition to providing implementation support, Jason also identified and assisted with operational and technological improvements, such as a new medication reconciliation process that saved 11,000 physician hours in 1 year and the successful navigation and attestation of HITECH Act requirements with clients.
