In a career spanning more than 30 years, John has been a trusted adviser to the leaders of academic medical centers (AMCs), health systems, and physician organizations. Having worked in all segments of the healthcare industry, John brings a broad, varied perspective to every engagement, as well as the ability to understand the needs of multiple stakeholders with competing interests. He has led a number of physician/hospital alignment transactions, hospital and health system integration efforts, and innovative care model development and implementation projects, helping to position his clients to succeed in a value-based reimbursement environment.

John has held executive leadership roles in the provider, strategic consulting, and managed care payor markets. Before joining ECG, he was a Managing Director at Huron Healthcare. John was responsible for the design and development of a CIN for 4.2 million Medi-Cal and commercial lives for Loma Linda, Riverside County, and other providers with the Inland Empire of California. He also led the design, development, and implementation strategy for the Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network, a CIN with more than 50 hospitals and 3,500-plus physicians covering some 100,000 lives throughout Tennessee and beyond.
