I am always humbled by the team effort in healthcare, which spans from those who take care of the patient at the bedside to those who work behind the scenes to keep all systems up and running. The collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of this field is what drew me to working in healthcare. Margaret Mead said it well: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
Tessa is a data-driven professional with diverse strategy and implementation experience. At a time when healthcare organizations are confronted with new levels of complexity, Tessa's ability to listen carefully to clients and work effectively across organizational levels and functional groups allow her to develop and execute innovative, solution-oriented plans.
Prior to ECG, Tessa worked at Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) as an intern in the Strategic Planning department where she helped evaluate clinical programs. Working with senior staff to develop strategies for service line growth, she conducted market analyses, assessed department utilization, and reported on regulatory trends. During her time at YNHHS, she worked with a core team on a strategic analysis project that provided the framework for discussion about the opening of an ambulatory surgery center.
