Shayan works alongside physician groups and hospital leaders to optimize operations using quantitative and process-oriented strategies. Shayan’s ability to connect data to qualitative experiences helps his clients more deeply understand the root causes and improvement opportunities in their processes. Having worked with a variety of healthcare institutions, he can adapt to the client’s unique circumstances to create fitted solutions. Shayan approaches his work by developing an understanding of the intricacies of the client’s challenges with the aim of improving performance through data-driven decisions.
Before joining ECG, Shayan worked at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) with a quality and process improvement team. In this role, he partnered with providers and department leaders to design and implement strategies to improve operational performance. He coordinated the development of annual quality management plans, tracking over 10 improvement projects and KPIs for clinical, financial, and regulatory targets. The plans presented supply chain savings of $400,000, reduced service error rates, and raised satisfaction scores above 90%. While at BCH, Shayan also took on a strategy role with the Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator. On this team, he supported the expansion of care-at-home services and patient access by evaluating external vendor support capabilities and internal service optimization opportunities.
