Tanner dedicates 100% of his time to provider compensation projects, spanning from fair market valuations at rural Critical Access Hospitals to the redesign of physician and APP compensation plans at some of the nation’s largest healthcare organizations. One of Tanner’s greatest strengths is his ability to break down complex problems into manageable workloads and solutions. While Tanner excels at generating data-driven solutions, what clients value most are his enthusiasm, team-player attitude, and passion for creating a better healthcare ecosystem, which he brings to bear on every engagement.
At ECG, Tanner’s work has primarily focused on supporting healthcare organizations on a variety of provider compensation projects, including FMV opinions, compensation redesign, postmerger compensation alignment, PSA negotiation support, and the development of optimal compensation governance and administration processes. Specifically, Tanner is passionate about supporting the increasing role of APPs in the care delivery environment and creating APP compensation plans that support organizational objectives and top-of-license practice. One exemplary project saw Tanner helping a community-based health system in the Pacific Northwest transition its 150-APP workforce from staffing-based salary structures to performance-based compensation plans that incentivized patient access and high-quality care.
