Maximizing Your
Hospital/Physician
Employment Strategy: The Ins and Outs
of Provider-Based Billing Arrangements
Tuesday, October 6, 2009
Hospital employment of physicians is a growing trend, due
in large part to the added financial and strategic alignment
benefits experienced by hospitals and physicians alike. For
hospitals in particular, this trend lends itself to an opportunity
for provider-based billing clinic arrangements as a means
of increased reimbursements and greater integration with physicians.
It is within this context that more clinics are being converted
to provider-based status, while the concept is currently being
vetted by many others.
During this Webinar, we will address the ins and outs of
provider-based billing arrangements including:
Potential revenue opportunities and other benefits of
provider-based clinics.
Best practices, including a real-world scenario.
A review of regulatory considerations and CMS provider-based
requirements.
Specific functionality of solutions that can accommodate
provider-based scenarios.
Specific learning objectives:
Learn approaches to pursue both accurate reimbursement
and customer service. Specifically, we will share how this
can be done using the NextGen Enterprise Practice Management
(EPM) system.
Understand the reasons for hospitals and employed physicians
to consider converting to provider-based status or optimizing
the processes if already provider-based.
Understand the technological and operational impacts.
