Jacob’s wide and deep range of expertise – from EHR/project management system turnaround projects to increasing top-line revenue for major health systems – has led hospital and medical group leaders to trust him with their most complex and high-risk consulting engagements. Jacob focuses on care coordination and increasing work flow efficiencies to help clients meet their near- and long-term strategic goals. He has integrated newly acquired practices into a common enterprise EHR application and technology suite and has experience with driving practice transformation, developing quality improvement programs to achieve advanced payment model performance goals, and establishing community IT solutions, including Stark and/or Anti-Kickback Statute investment models. In addition to his IT background, Jacob’s knowledge of advanced payment option development, such as bundled and global payment initiatives, as well as accountable care organizations and patient-centered medical homes, is credited with advancing numerous leading-edge initiatives. He has collaborated with health systems and physician enterprises nationally to develop provider networks, implement financial and risk modeling, and ensure that high-quality, strategic results are met as ECG’s clients enter the next phase of integrated delivery networks and hospital/provider partnerships. He regularly utilizes objective data from EHR systems to drive performance gains, and has experience with multiple EHR applications, including Allscripts Enterprise EHR, NextGen EMR, GE Centricity, eClinicalWorks, McKesson Practice Partner, and EpicCare Ambulatory EMR.
