Laura is a certified Lean Black Belt with over nine years of experience in healthcare strategy, ambulatory clinic operations, and patient access optimization. She has been recognized by clients for her analytical skills, process improvement capabilities, and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across all stages of a project’s cycle. As a catalyst for performance improvement, Laura helps to ignite out-of-the-box solutions by intersecting her training in Lean methodologies and human-centered design. Clients value Laura’s ability to collaborate with executives, providers, and frontline staff to develop solutions that yield increased operational efficiency, especially in a time of financial uncertainty brought on by the dynamic state of today’s healthcare environment.
Laura has aided clients with the development of PSAs and service line business plans as well as provided assistance with driving ambulatory operational performance from assessment to implementation. Most recently she served in a clinical operations and patient access interim leadership role at a major academic medical center. During this engagement, she led multidisciplinary teams of clinical and nonclinical staff through two eight-week clinic sprints focused on improving throughput, patient access, and pa-tient/physician/staff satisfaction.
