I joined ECG because I believe our healthcare delivery system is the most important area of focus for our nation today. Approximately 17% of U.S. GDP is spent on healthcare every year, far more than any other country in the world. What I enjoy most about the opportunity to work in this industry is collaborating with some of the smartest leaders across our nation to improve a system that will ultimately increase the quality of life for every single American.

Rich is dedicated to improving the healthcare landscape in a time of rising costs and added demands from payors, patients, and policy makers. Clients value his proven record of identifying cost savings and enhancing margin management. Having worked with more than 25 hospitals and health systems, Rich has a broad perspective on hospital operations, finance, and strategy. His success stems from building trusting relationships with key stakeholders to form a cohesive environment focused on creating tangible and intangible value.

At ECG, Rich works with clients on various issues in the areas of operations and strategy. Before joining ECG, he worked as a Senior Health Care Technology Consultant with The Advisory Board Company’s inpatient cost and quality performance technology program. By partnering with hospital executives, physician leaders, and diverse project teams, Rich has led successful projects involving utilization management, surgical standardization, documentation improvement, and service line planning. He has also worked with clients on patient satisfaction and provider engagement efforts.
