Shaelagh has focused her career on optimizing electronic health records to complement and improve complex clinical workflows while meeting increasing payer demands. She believes that building a foundation of teamwork with an organization’s stakeholders is critical to an engagement’s success. Shaelagh is especially passionate about improving the patient experience by finding creative strategies to encourage patients to take an active role in their care. She appreciates that no two organizations are alike and strives to tailor strategies to meet clients’ unique demands.
Prior to ECG, Shaelagh worked as an EpicCare Ambulatory and MyChart applications coordinator for the largest healthcare system in New England, where she supported the Epic implementation and optimization at the system’s five hospitals and affiliates. Shaelagh was responsible for the redesign and maintenance of an enterprise e-visit process to meet primary care patient demand while accounting for cost. She also strove to optimize provider efficiency by analyzing the usage of Epic’s mobile application and leading optimization efforts. This resulted in a 50% increase in user logins and a 6% increase in new user enrollment within six months.
