Emma is a data analyst with experience in gathering and evaluating healthcare data to drive operational efficiency, strategic decision-making, and improved organizational performance. Through data analysis, visualization, and problem-solving, Emma helps hospital and health systems leaders better understand their organizations and derive actionable insights leading to enhanced patient care.
Before joining ECG, Emma worked as an informatics specialist at Tampa General Hospital's Transplant Institute. In this role, she supported process improvement projects related to quality outcomes, patient safety, and operational efficiency. She also collaborated with IT to automate quality checks between the hospital’s EHR platform and national transplant registry data using advanced programming pipelines. During one notable project, Emma analyzed heart transplant data to identify opportunities to increase transplant volumes. These findings were then used by the team to implement changes that led to the hospital experiencing its highest number of heart transplants in one month, approximately three times higher than typical monthly volumes. Her analytics and visualization work guided similar improvement efforts across all organ groups within the institute and for both clinical and administrative leaders.
