Joe calls upon his background as a clinical operations leader and physician compensation consultant to help health system and medical group leaders solve complex problems and provide them with compliant, mission-driven compensation solutions. Joe has lived the daily realities of an operations leader designing and executing intricate physician and APP compensation plans and understands how to effectively partner with providers to achieve success.
Prior to joining ECG, Joe worked at HealthPartners as an operations leader in its Cardiology and Hospital Medicine Departments. Most recently, Joe partnered with a physician compensation committee to successfully redesign the compensation plans for over 200 hospital medicine physicians and subsequently set up the operations necessary to execute the plans, including monthly/biweekly payroll, quarterly reports and payments, and annual reconciliation processes. Before his time at HealthPartners, Joe was a physician compensation consultant, where he worked with hospitals and health systems to conduct fair market value opinions and commercial reasonableness reviews, curate competitive physician employment offers, and assist in PSA negotiations. Joe's broad experience affords him a deep knowledge of provider compensation strategies and compensation administration best practices, which he uses to generate responsible, pragmatic solutions for his clients.
