Having worked in the ambulatory and hospital settings and held leadership positions as both client and vendor, Jake brings a unique blend of broad operations experience and expertise to every engagement. His ability to analyze the current state and identify inefficiencies allows him to provide valuable insights to guide provider organizations to their optimal future state. What sets Jake apart from other consultants is his understanding of the importance of successful interrelationships among key stakeholders, such as clinical and support resources, to drive sustainable performance improvement. This understanding, along with his data-driven approach, helps him implement hospital operations that are effective and efficient.
Before joining ECG, Jake was a multisystem hospital operations director for TouchPoint at Ascension Health, during which time he was responsible for managing over 500 support service employees at nine Ascension Health locations and improving and expanding support service needs to meet the objectives of Ascension’s senior leadership team. Jake was also a hospital support services manager at UCHealth, where he offered critical support to senior leaders as they developed the hospital’s Clinical Assessment and Rapid Evaluation Clinic for oncology patients. In addition, he led various operational improvement initiatives that produced meaningful results, including an 18% improvement in EVS room turnover time and a 20% increase in Patient Transport capabilities. Prior to his time in the industry, Jake was a captain in the United States Army.
