Lauren is a results-oriented leader with 20 years of experience enhancing operational effectiveness, optimizing staff productivity, and improving business performance. Lauren is recognized for her in-depth operational and financial experience in anesthesia and other hospital-based physician specialties. She is passionate about using a data-driven approach to analyze problems and achieve sustainable results for hospitals, providers, and the patients they serve.
Prior to joining ECG, Lauren worked as a consultant focused on hospital-based physician specialties. Having managed engagements at over 200 facilities across the US, Lauren has broad experience leading projects related to enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing revenue opportunities. Lauren has also worked closely with health systems and physicians to achieve alignment and stability through revised PSAs and staffing model transitions. Before embarking on her consulting career, Lauren served as the executive director for a large private anesthesia and pain management physician group. In this role, she oversaw two key mergers that nearly tripled the size of the anesthesia practice, expanded services for the pain practice to multiple new OP locations, and introduced several new service lines into the practice. Lauren regularly presents on topics related to anesthesia operations, management, and economics, most recently speaking at the 2024 conferences of the Advanced Institute for Anesthesia Billing and Practice Management and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
