Melody’s academic experience in quantitative analysis and in-depth knowledge of financial compliance and healthcare regulations enable her to provide innovative yet practical strategies for her healthcare clients. Through her involvement with compliance-related audits, Melody gained exposure to the ins and outs of health system operations and an understanding of the different stakeholder values and intricate problems faced by healthcare organizations. She has a passion for using her analytical skill set to cultivate creative, data-driven, and efficient solutions to solve the industry’s complex problems.
Before joining ECG, Melody attended Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. During her time in the graduate program, she worked as an intern in the Assurance & Compliance Services Department at Mount Sinai Health System. There, she helped develop the mandatory annual compliance training for the system’s 43,000 employees and trustee members, through which she gained familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulations. Melody also led a payroll audit, using her research and data analytics skills to identify and resolve areas of inefficiency in Mount Sinai’s payroll process.
