Maya calls upon her data-driven approach and foundational knowledge of community health and healthcare administration to develop solutions aimed at enhancing care delivery and financial performance. Maya's experience working both with and within healthcare organizations and across internal (clinical, IT) and external (consultant) teams has equipped her with the holistic perspective necessary to support clients' operational and strategic transformation initiatives, analyze complex systems, and develop process improvements that promote optimal efficiency.
Prior to joining ECG, Maya worked as an internal consulting intern at Carle Health, where she built Microsoft Excel–based models to highlight workflow inefficiencies and illustrate key findings within the organization's Primary Care Department. She also contributed to a 12-month project to integrate a standardized patient screening tool across all inpatient facilities to collect and report accurate social needs of patients. By implementing the new screening process, Carle remained compliant with CMS's reporting standards and received an additional $500,000 in funding. Before Carle, Maya interned in the Compliance and Risk Management Department at Erie Family Health Centers. There, she led a policy modernization initiative focused on standardizing over 100 outdated protocols and facilitating the rollout of a new system-wide policy platform.
