Marty has over 20 years of experience working both with and within health systems, accountable care organizations, large medical groups, and the military to address and optimize care delivery models and the logistic infrastructure that enables them. A recognized leader in improving the operational performance of acute care facilities, Marty calls upon his vast clinical experience as an emergency medicine physician and brigade surgeon and his senior-level leadership roles to help hospital and health system clients deliver high-quality healthcare in safe, effective environments.

He has reengineered operations at over 50 emergency departments to significantly reduce or completely eliminate wait times and has been instrumental in the architectural and operational design of emergency rooms of the future, transforming them into acute diagnostic centers supported by advanced technologies and streamlined processes. Before joining ECG, Marty was the acting chief medical officer for Vizient, during which time he oversaw the largest outsourced strategic sourcing and contracting operation in US healthcare. Prior to that, he was a practicing emergency medicine physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where he also held a series of leadership roles, including medical director of the Emergency Department and vice chair of clinical operations. Marty is also a colonel in the Army National Guard. He has completed multiple tours in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan and currently serves in the Vermont Army National Guard, where he has been both the state surgeon and the brigade surgeon for the 86th Combat Brigade.
