Before joining ECG, Dr. Rotondo served as the CEO of the University of Rochester Medical Faculty Group, during which time he unified 24 distinct departments into a 2,400-physician enterprise that spans 22 specialties and supports more than four million annual visits across eight hospitals and over 300 clinical sites. He also engineered a new funds flow model in support of research and education and founded the UR Health Lab, a tech incubator for digital health innovations. Under his leadership, volumes and revenues more than tripled across a $6.8 billion system. Prior to that, Dr. Rotondo held various leadership roles within East Carolina University's (ECU's) Division of Health Sciences, demonstrating expertise in clinical system redesign by creating a scalable, high-impact care model that ultimately tripled surgical volumes. He also led the financial turnaround of ECU Health Physicians, achieving profitability within one year and sustained growth.
