Nicolas is a healthcare engineering professional with a passion for leading organizations through transformation. With the ongoing transition to value occurring across the industry, organizations appreciate Nicolas’s proven analytical approach to driving quality outcomes while reducing cost. He has effectively collaborated with providers, executive leadership, and frontline staff and brings experience in both AMC and community hospital settings.
At ECG, Nicolas has helped both small and large medical groups effectively integrate operations into broader health systems. These efforts are complex, requiring the coordination of multiple work streams that are often accompanied by an EHR implementation or optimization. Recently, Nicolas has worked with clients to both design and implement innovative and transformational operating models for a sustainable future and to adjust to ever-changing healthcare policies. He also brings his experience that spans the patient journey, including access, the revenue cycle, and clinical operations, to assist clients in developing holistic and system-wide solutions. Before joining ECG, Nicolas worked as a process improvement and data analytics consultant at University of Colorado Health (UCHealth). While there, he spearheaded the use of advanced analytical methods to drive performance improvement throughout the organization. Nicolas was integral to the process transformation of UCHealth's 65 bed emergency department, helping lead scheduling adjustments that resulted in decreased median patient wait times from two hours to under 10 minutes.
