Vasco's diverse experience within the healthcare industry has positioned him with the knowledge necessary to advise clients on their transaction journeys and ongoing strategy. His time working on hospital and medical group transactions, physician alignment initiatives, medical group performance assessments, and enterprise strategy has provided Vasco with both a deep understanding of the unique situations facing healthcare leaders today and a passion for paving clear paths for his clients to grow into stronger, more sustainable healthcare organizations.
At ECG, Vasco supports strategic planning projects and the evaluation and execution of mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships for health systems and medical groups. Recent examples of notable project work include developing a multiyear strategic plan for an independent community hospital focused on maintaining independence to retain jobs in its community; evaluating and executing the acquisition of three hospitals for a not-for-profit health system in the Midwest; and assessing productivity, compensation, collections, and operations for multiple large, premier medical groups to develop roadmaps for improved care quality and provider satisfaction. Prior to joining ECG, Vasco worked at Cognizant, where he focused on management and strategy consulting within the medtech and pharmaceutical industries.
