Zach is a healthcare administration professional with expertise in value-based care performance, financial modeling, physician compensation, and cross-functional collaboration across provider and payer organizations. He is known for his ability to utilize data to inform clear, actionable insights and for steering leadership teams toward strategic, financially sound decisions. Zach brings a strong analytical and operational mindset to his work, shaped by his experience supporting both large healthcare systems and provider organizations. He has served as a trusted adviser to executives and clinical leaders by helping them navigate risk-based contracts, performance improvement initiatives, and organizational strategy.

Before joining ECG, Zach worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. As a principal, provider performance consultant, he oversaw value-based care models representing up to $75 million in annual financial variance and guided healthcare provider leadership on performance gaps and improvement opportunities. His analytics capabilities, including SQL, Microsoft Power BI, and claims-based analysis, enabled him to synthesize multiple datasets into information for leaders to make clinical and operational decisions. As the Medicare Advantage lead on his team, Zach managed the redesign and negotiation efforts of a new Medicare Advantage value-based care model that was widely accepted by providers across the Twin Cities. As a consultant for Insight Health Partners, Zach designed FMV-aligned physician compensation structures, conducted large-scale benchmarking analyses, and advised leadership teams through strategic performance improvement initiatives.
