Zoe Fisher

Senior Consultant

Zoe is drawn to the healthcare field because of its vital role throughout every person's life and its complex, challenging, and ever-changing nature. She is passionate about improving the lives of others by making healthcare delivery organizations more efficient across their operational and financial facets. Zoe enjoys showing her clients how seemingly minor operational adjustments can have a downstream financial impact on their organizations and create a smoother experience for patients.

Zoe's work at ECG has largely focused on three areas: patient throughput, revenue cycle optimization, and margin improvement. Zoe has supported efforts to improve the patient flow in inpatient and emergency department (ED) settings. Notably, at an urban safety net hospital, she helped implement a split-flow model in the ED to ensure timely physician evaluations and reduce the number of patients who leave before completing treatment. Zoe has also expanded her background in underpayment recovery to broaden her expertise in revenue cycle optimization. Her work in this space focuses on helping clients align operational practices with broader revenue goals. Zoe has subsequently employed her patient throughput and revenue cycle skill sets to more margin improvement engagements. She has worked closely with community healthcare organizations to enhance their financial stability by identifying operational efficiencies, reducing costs, and increasing revenue.
