Having spent more than 25 years working in healthcare, Elizabeth Liebow has seen the industry from almost every angle imaginable.
She’s seen it through the eyes of a candy striper, volunteering at her local hospital as a 14-year-old, fascinated by the operational intricacies of the hospital environment. She watched her parents have starkly disparate experiences with care delivery as they battled cancer. She’s served as an executive at a world-renowned cancer treatment and research center. She’s traveled abroad and been struck by the differences in how emergency care is delivered outside the US.

Today Elizabeth is a principal at ECG and a leader of the firm’s oncology consulting practice. In this interview with Authority Magazine, she describes her life-long drive to improve care for patients and families and shares her thoughts on how we can make the system better.
