Brian’s experience in strategic and financial planning particularly in advising organizations on transactions or initiatives that will have a major transformative impact has given him a unique perspective on the internal dynamics that clients face. He combines these viewpoints to communicate not only the narrative that drives monetary results, but also the importance of quantifying strategic initiatives through a financial lens.
Prior to joining ECG, Brian served as a senior consultant in the Financial Planning and Strategy practice at Kaufman Hall and Associates. In this role, Brian worked on a variety of engagements across strategy, financial planning, and M&A advisory. One of his major projects included developing the strategic integrated financial plan for a $2 billion New Jersey health system. The plan was approved by the board and used to develop the materials for and facilitate discussions with rating agencies, which resulted in a rating upgrade.
He also advised multiple clients on sell- and buy-side M&A engagements. Prior to Kaufman Hall, Brian held progressively responsible positions at Northern Trust. As a credit analyst in corporate banking, he covered a portfolio of 50 companies across all industries and wrote comprehensive reports detailing the value of clients’ operations.
