Associate Principal

Healthcare is going through a period of dynamic change. Participating in the disruption of existing models, having continuous learning opportunities, and most importantly, helping organizations improve the health of populations, has been the driving force behind my decision to work in healthcare.
With a decade of experience in healthcare consulting, Alex is a leader in provider compensation valuation and advisory services. His expertise empowers clients to create well-informed agreements with physicians and APPs. By understanding regulatory standards, Alex effectively partners with healthcare organizations nationwide, ensuring compensation arrangements are aligned with fair market value (FMV) and commercial reasonableness (CR) criteria. Additionally, he has played a vital role in multiple expert witness engagements, qui tam cases, and self-disclosure settlements.

At ECG, Alex collaborates with a wide range of healthcare organizations, including national health systems, multispecialty groups, academic medical centers, community hospitals, and critical access facilities to conduct FMV and CR valuations for employment, professional services, call coverage, and comanagement agreements. Additionally, he provides clients with valuable insights into the evolving Medicare Physician Fee Schedule to help them prepare for its potential effects on compensation and reimbursement. Alex also supports his clients by advising on the provider regulatory environment and areas of federal scrutiny and has made significant contributions to a range of legal matters, including litigation, qui tam actions, and self-disclosures related to various provider agreements
