Andy has spent his entire 35‑year career helping hospitals and health systems navigate the complex and shifting environment of US healthcare funding and delivery. As a strategic adviser, Andy’s clients appreciate his ability to envision likely future-state scenarios and devise prudent strategies that mitigate risk and uncertainty. His areas of expertise include enterprise strategy; system integration and rationalization; mergers, acquisition, and partnership strategy; ambulatory and service line planning; physician alignment and integration; and hospital development, expansion, and greenfield development.
Andy is known for designing flexible, transformative enterprise strategies, with an emphasis on building system scale, creating innovative ambulatory care solutions, and forming partnerships with aligned medical groups that enable providers to succeed in the ever-evolving healthcare funding and delivery model. His clients include multihospital health systems; community, specialty, and children’s hospitals; and academic medical centers. Andy’s career has included 10 years in hospital administration and over 25 years in strategic advisory consulting. Formerly, Andy was managing partner of Kurt Salmon’s healthcare practice, which merged with ECG in 2016.
