Jon is a nationally recognized expert in provider compensation administration, design, and valuation. Jon calls on his 15 years of compensation leadership experience to help clients build and maintain high-performing provider enterprises, where physicians and APPs are highly engaged and incentives are aligned across the organization. His practical approach to provider employment and alignment is shaped by both his time as a consultant advising clients on provider enterprise strategy, compensation, and workforce optimization and his experience implementing these solutions as a former executive.
Prior to joining ECG, Jon was the vice president of provider compensation and contracts at Trinity Health, where he led a regional department accountable for over $1 billion in annual provider payments. Notable examples of Jon's work in this role include designing a new national provider compensation and contracts department to support over 9,000 employed physicians, leading the design and implementation of a standardized provider compensation and contracts program for over 3,000 physicians and APPs, and negotiating PSAs with independent radiology and anesthesiology groups that saved over $10 million in locums costs. Before joining Trinity, Jon spent a decade in consulting, assisting clients with postmerger integration, provider enterprise organization design, and provider compensation program design and administration.
