At ECG, McKenna's work has focused primarily on operational transformation and patient access. Examples of her efforts include redesigning templates and scheduling protocols to optimize access and minimize administrative burdens for providers and end users, developing materials to support the implementation of redesigned Epic referral management workflows, deploying patient throughput initiatives for imaging services to expand capacity, and designing team-based care models and optimized workflows to maximize staff members' impact at all levels. Prior to joining ECG, McKenna was a project manager at Cedars-Sinai, where she helped lead several initiatives for Cedars-Sinai clinics, including a root cause analysis to reduce the number of backlogged refill messages in a primary care clinic from over 3,000 to just 40 per day.
