October 1, 2014, marks the compliance date for ICD-10. Despite being given a 3-year reprieve on the transition, many organizations either have not made much progress on their implementation plans or have yet to even create one. This gap poses significant risk when considering that ICD-10 can impact both short- and long-term cash flow if the transition is not managed appropriately. It is now 2014, the deadline is quickly approaching, and delay is no longer an option. This presentation provides participants with a short list of what their organizations must do now to prepare for ICD-10 and how to prioritize if little progress has been made to date.
