I was drawn to the healthcare field because at the core of the industry is the desire and potential to positively impact a person’s life. At ECG, we have the opportunity to help our clients transform the way that healthcare is delivered, improve the infrastructure that enables scientific discovery, and even determine the best pathway to train the healthcare providers of the future.
With a background in healthcare policy and experience working in an academic medical center (AMC), Andrea has a unique understanding of the challenges that hospitals and AMCs are facing under the changing regulatory landscape. Her ability to analyze and translate complex hospital and market data for a broad range of audiences enables hospital and physician leaders to make informed decisions that have positive and lasting effects on their organizations. Andrea brings her enthusiasm for problem solving and data analytics, as well as her passion for healthcare, to every client engagement.
Before joining ECG, Andrea worked in the Center for Affordable Health Care at the North Carolina Hospital Association. There she worked on a statewide, multisystem collaborative effort to determine areas of financial variability among systems and to identify potential cost-saving quality improvement efforts. She also led an effort to identify statewide best practices related to several CMS-proposed core measures in order to prepare member hospitals for the upcoming changes in reporting requirements.
