Chaz is dedicated to helping define and implement practical strategies to mitigate short-term challenges while positioning healthcare providers for long-term success. His deep expertise in managed care strategy enables him to identify immediate revenue enhancement opportunities through existing or new managed care arrangements while concurrently developing strategies and tactical plans to support the transition to value-based reimbursement. Chaz’s leadership, coupled with his cost-reduction and financial expertise, along with his passion for creating analytical tools and models take the complexities in healthcare to help tell the story in an easy-to-understand manner to assist his clients with overcoming extremely complex challenges and make informed decisions to maximize all revenue opportunities.
Before joining ECG, Chaz worked at Aetna as the director of medical economics. In this capacity, he was responsible for the Northeast market, serving more than 650,000 members across both Medicare and commercial lines of business. While there, he led a team to design, implement, and develop new reports and tools to improve the financial performance tied to medical and pharmacy financial trends by finding cost-reduction opportunities. Prior to Aetna, Chaz was a manager for United Surgical Partners International, where he single-handedly supervised, performed, and built extensive revenue impact models across all M&A activity, with a focus on inpatient and outpatient hospitals, single and multispecialty ambulatory surgery centers, de novos, urgent cares, physician groups, anesthesia practices, and imaging centers resulting in over $2 billion in potential annual net revenue opportunities.
