His experience includes clinical operations, workforce planning, financial optimization, supply chain management, and information technology disciplines. Due to his diverse background, Mark understands the intersection between clinical operations, business processes, and technology. Clients appreciate his ability to identify opportunities for margin improvement through revenue growth and cost reductions and optimize digital solutions to enhance their operational capabilities.
Prior to joining ECG, Mark spent nearly three decades in global Big 4 professional services consulting, gaining vast expertise in strategic planning, operational improvement, and digital health. Notable examples of Mark’s work include spearheading enterprise-wide performance optimization initiatives for an AMC, which resulted in more than $75 million in savings over three years through the resolution of nursing and ancillary department process inefficiencies, labor management issues, and long lengths of stay, and leading a cross-competency team overseeing multiple initiatives at a multistate health system in the Northwest, ultimately generating over $20 million from performance improvement efforts.
