Developed through his experience working with regional health systems, AMCs, and community hospitals, Patrick’s holistic perspective of the healthcare landscape allows him to tailor his solutions to each client’s individual challenges, market, and operational environment. Exercising a data-driven approach to problem-solving, Patrick synthesizes complex data sets to help executives better understand the strategic obstacles they are facing and make informed decisions. Clients value Patrick’s financial and operational background as he works with them to transform operations and transition to new care models.
As a member of ECG’s Ambulatory Performance Transformation practice, Patrick specializes in alternative care models and ambulatory enterprise performance, with a primary focus on the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care operations. Over the past year, he has led a care team redesign and value-based care transition project for a large, county-funded healthcare authority operating under a global capitation model ($60 million budget). In addition, Patrick contributes extensively to the firm’s internal methodology related to care team and care delivery models and has published several thought leadership pieces on value-based care within the physician enterprise. Prior to joining ECG, Patrick worked at several healthcare consulting firms on projects spanning patient access and strategic planning, quality improvement program implementation, and value-based payment model design and development.
