Selected Projects

Assessing the feasibility of a joint venture ambulatory center for two community hospitals and a large physician group. Expand Minimize

We assisted these three organizations in the feasibility assessment and business planning for a joint venture, satellite ambulatory center. Our work included an assessment of market factors, the development of operating parameters, and the preparation of 5-year financial projections. Through our analyses, the organizations were able to determine whether to proceed with the development of the center.

Developing a business plan for a physician hospital organization (PHO) sponsored by a regional health system. Expand Minimize

We worked with this PHO to define a future direction that would address the current market forces as well as the internal concerns of both the health system and the physicians. The business plan identified the specific goals to be pursued and the strategic initiatives that would be required to achieve the goals. We then worked with the health system to implement the business plan initiatives.

Assisting in ambulatory services business planning for a tertiary hospital. Expand Minimize

We assisted this hospital in developing a comprehensive 5-year strategy for ambulatory services. The strategy needed to be aligned with the hospital’s already well-developed Centers of Excellence in key clinical services. The planning effort identified facilities and operational requirements, recommended tactics for alignment with physicians, and provided financial projections.

Conducting business and integration planning for a large, multispecialty medical group. Expand Minimize

The purpose of this planning effort was to develop a business plan to guide the clinical and administrative integration of this 600-member medical group’s three separate physician entities. The business plan identified opportunities for both operational efficiencies and strategic growth that would occur as a result of integration. Following the plan development, ECG provided interim management assistance in order to initiate implementation.

Conducting business planning for regional outreach services for an AMC. Expand Minimize

We worked with this AMC to develop a business plan for outreach services. Through the planning process, key ambulatory service lines were targeted for growth in high-priority geographic markets. Business tactics were developed to support the targeted growth. The plan assisted the organization in understanding where collaborative ventures were needed and where competitive initiatives were required.

I strongly believe that this (project) has gone incredibly smoothly due to the inclusive and open style. I am grateful. Thank you!
