What’s Next for Women’s Health?

Women’s History Month is an opportunity to recognize and honor the achievements of women throughout US history, transcending all sectors—including healthcare. Every day, we rely on their leadership and expertise as physicians, advanced practice providers, researchers, trainers, and healthcare administrators, to only name a few.

But what does the future hold for women’s health? To be sure, there are some concerning trends—access to care and uncertainty about the regulatory landscape chief among them. But there is cause for optimism as well, particularly in the continued evolution in care and elevation of women’s health issues. In their annual forecast of trends shaping women’s health, Katie Komaridis and Sarah Weatherman share their predictions for 2025, including expanded primary care offerings, a growing focus on quality and coordination of specialty care, and a rise in retail offerings for women.
