How organizations recruit, retain, compensate, and engage physicians and APPs directly impacts quality, access, financial performance, and a health system’s overall reputation. Ensuring alignment between market-competitive compensation and an organization’s goals is imperative. Optimizing this alignment begins with the right data.
I am proud to announce the results of ECG’s 27th annual Physician and APP Compensation Survey. This year’s dataset represents nearly 325,000 providers across 514 organizations. Among the many findings and insights is the widening gap between compensation and productivity, with labor costs outpacing output. This suggests greater investment per provider without a proportionate increase in revenue and may signal broader, systemic issues (e.g., commercial reimbursement rates, capacity management, patient access barriers).
I encourage you to review the findings from this year’s survey and join the growing list of organizations that find its level of granularity distinct from that of other national surveys.
Sincerely.
